Municipal and Industrial water and wastewater treatment systems present a challenging environment in which the accurate and reliable measurement of liquid flow is essential for cost-effective plant operation. In order for these systems to run as economically as possible, water and wastewater treatment facilities need a Flow Meter with accurate flow measurement necessary to ensure that limited water resources and treated wastewater effluent are processed efficiently.
The FPI Mag digital insertion water flow sensor supports the following water and wastewater treatment water flow applications:
Municipal Water & Wastewater
The FPI Mag meter supports the following water and wastewater treatment applications:
- UV Dosing
- Filter Balancing and Backwash
- Wells & Booster Stations
- Potable Water
- Recycle / Reclaim
The FPI Mag is a suitable industrial meter for a variety of industrial facilities: power plants (including cogeneration), paper mills, chemical & petrochemical plants, metals & mining, food & beverage.
- Cooling Water
- Fire Water
- Feed Water
- Raw Water
- Inlet to Surge Basin
FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
New Feature: The FPI Mag employs a new dual cable system with up to 500 feet of cable that connects the converter to the sensor. The power cable has been separated from the signal cable which improves the meter's resistance to signal noise. Both cables are fully submersible. The quick connect feature is standard and has been engineered to ensure the installer connects the cables correctly.
The insertion design of the FPI Mag allows for easy installation across a wide range of applications and pipe sizes. This hot tap flow meter allows you to insert the meter without interrupting service, de-watering lines, cutting pipe or welding flanges
Customers save up to 45% on installation and the total cost of ownership. The FPI Mag eliminates the need for heavy equipment and manpower necessary during a typical full bore meter installation.
The FPI Mag's multi-electrode design and unique operating principle delivers accuracy unmatched by other insertion meters and rivals the performance of full-bore mag meters.
With no moving parts, there is nothing to wear or break. The sensor body is made from heavy-duty 316 stainless steel for maximum structural integrity. The sensor body is hermetically sealed and protected by NSF certified 3M fusion-bonded epoxy coating.
The FPI Mag is ideal for capital or maintenance projects, retrofits and sites never before metered. The unique combination of accuracy, ease of installation and total cost savings make the FPI magmeter the perfect choice for a wide range of Municipal and Industrial Applications.
The FPI Mag has no moving parts and a single-piece design. The Multi-electrode water flow sensor contains nothing to wear or break and is generally immune to clogging by sand, grit or other debris. The FPI Mag is available with forward-flow only or bi-directional measurement for line sizes from 4 to 138 inches and the system now includes a brass full port ball valve with stainless steel nipple, the quick connect cable fitting, our new M-Series converter and wrenches necessary for installation.
The FPI Mag flow meter is a versatile Insertion Mag Meter which is an affordable alternative to full-bore meters and ultrasonic flow meters. This unique, patented hot tap flow meter is an excellent choice when your project needs measurement on any one or more of the following:
