Differential Pressure Flow Meter, Ideal for Liquid, Steam or Gas Measurement

Differential Pressure Flow Meter, Ideal for Liquid, Steam or Gas Measurement

When accuracy and repeatability are critical, the V-Cone’s performance brings superior value. The V-Cone is self-conditioning by design and unaffected by turbulent flow, making it ideal for use in tight fit and retrofit installations. Requiring little-to-no straight piping, the V-Cone outperforms traditional differential pressure meters such as orifice plates, venturi tubes or nozzles, and wedge meters.

McCrometer’s V-Cone flow meter is an advanced differential pressure instrument, ideal for use with liquid, steam or gas media in even the most challenging conditions.

KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES

Proven Performance
McCrometer invented and patented the first V-Cone flow meter in 1985. Today, there are more than 75,000 McCrometer V-Cone flow meters installed worldwide in oil and gas, industrial, and municipal water applications.

Accuracy You Can Count On
The V-Cone flow meter’s unique design provides repeatable accuracy of up to ±0.5% of rate under even the most difficult flow conditions. Despite minimal straight run, high pressure or high viscosity flow media, turbulent flow profiles, external vibrations and more, the V-Cone consistently outperforms other flow technologies and provides accurate, repeatable measurements for 25+ years.

High-Performance in Challenging Applications
Designed for mild to harsh operating environments, this advanced flow meter effectively measures a variety of aggressive, corrosive flow media including sour gas, hazardous chemical flows, crude oil, natural gas, petroleum byproducts, cryogenic coolant, liquified natural gas (LNG), wet gas, superheated steam, and more. The V-Cone easily tolerates changing temperatures, high turndowns, external vibrations, and flow disturbances causing turbulent flow profiles.

Maximum Installation Flexibility
Offering a small overall footprint, the V-Cone can be installed virtually anywhere in the piping system or easily retrofit into an existing piping layout giving significant cost savings.Low-to-No Operating Costs

The V-Cone ensures sustained, high-level performance across its lifespan with zero maintenance or replacement required. It provides accurate, repeatable measurements over its 25+ year lifespan with minimal drift and no need for recalibration.
