Requiring only 1.5 straight pipe diameters upstream and 0-0.5 downstream, the FS100 Flow Straightener when installed with the McPropeller slashes typical installation piping and labor costs by more than 50 percent, which makes it the right fit in both retrofit and brand new installations.

Fluid flowing through a pipe turns a propeller. Those turns, or revolutions, equate to flow rate and volume over time. The speed of the propeller revolutions correlated with the inside diameter of the pipe, calculate flow rate and totalization. Totalization and flow rate are indicated on a meter’s register.
Propeller meters are often used in agriculture and turf applications as well as municipal water but can also be found in certain industrial applications as well.
McCrometer offers two brands of propeller meters, the McPropeller and the Water Specialties flow meters. Both meters offer many configurations including saddle-style, top-plate, tube-style, reverse flow, and more.
