The Field Mag 3000 features McCrometer’s proprietary fusion-bonded epoxy rather than a rubber or plastic liner, guaranteed against tearing and delamination for the lifetime of the meter. This durable, highly rugged flow instrument gives operators and technicians peace of mind that their metering investment will withstand harsh environments and a multitude of flow applications.
Ideal in water transfer, produced water and mining applications, grooved end connections provide greater ease and speed of installation, lower installation costs, and less down time during installation. The decrease in weight recognized by the removal of two sets of flanges and grooved end adapters is revolutionary and substantial. If you are connecting to flanged pipe instead of lay flat hose, ANSI #150 and ANSI #300 flanged connections are available as well.
These mag meters use a non-intrusive measurement element and are excellent in harsh environments requiring minimal maintenance with little to no drift over the life of the meter.
The Field Mag 3000 utilizes our ProComm Go electronics which allows AC or DC power with battery backup or exclusive battery operation with pulse and 4-20mA outputs with an accuracy of +/- 1.0% of reading. Additionally each unit comes pre-configured to connect to McCrometer’s SmartTrax telemetry system.
The Field Mag 3000 requires only 1D upstream and 0D downstream of most flow disturbers, and still maintains up to ±1.0% accuracy across a large flow range. In addition, the meter has:
The mag flow meter’s unique NSF-approved UltraLiner provides superior electrical insulation, as well as excellent protection against corrosion and abrasion.
Only McCrometer offers a truly customized meter built to fit your application, reducing labor during installation, and ultimately saving you money. Specifically, we offer:
The Field Mag 3000 is designed for the following applications:
| Accuracy | AC or DC power: ±1% of measured value ±0.006 ft/s (± 0.0018 m/s) IMPORTANT NOTICE ON FLOW METER ACCURACY: The flow meter, the cable and the electronics are factory calibrated for accuracy as a single unit. Changing the cable length with the Splice Kit changes the accuracy of the meter and invalidates the calibration certificate. Multiple point wet flow calibration of every complete flow tube with its signal converter. If desired, the tests can be witnessed by the customer. The McCrometer test facilities are traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology. Uncertainty relative to flow is ±0.15%. |
