The sensor’s cavity is filled with high-viscosity silicon oil, which reduces the buildup of sand, silt, and grit on the pressure transducer; it is available in both oil-filled and non-oil-filled versions, making this adaptable to different site conditions.
The non-oil-filled sensor is ideal for relatively clear sites or where the pipe may dry out, while the oil-filled version is best suited for environments with high levels of biological growth, grit, or silt.
Additionally, the module includes advanced diagnostics, such as capturing and displaying the Doppler spectra, allowing you to verify sensor performance on-site, ensuring everything is functioning correctly before you leave, which provides valuable peace of mind.
These thoughtful design options minimize maintenance requirements and prevent data loss, addressing common challenges in flow monitoring.
Ability to calibrate the sensor and adjust it to read accurately at one specific value of the parameter being measured, also known as a “single known reference point”; this helps to measure flow rate, pressure, or temperature.
The sensor can withstand conditions such as harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, high flow velocities, and abrasive or corrosive materials without degrading in accuracy or requiring frequent maintenance.
Sleek and efficient physical configuration that minimizes obstructions to fluid flow, reducing pressure loss and turbulence within the system.
Oil-filled Submerged AV sensor models are great solution for monitoring sites that are susceptible to fouling of the pressure transducer. The cavity is filled with high-viscosity silicon oil to reduce the collection of sand, silt and grit on the pressure transducer. Use the non-oil-filled cover plate model in sites where the pipe could run dry. Either way, we’ve thought about the little details that will reduce your maintenance or lost data hassles.
