The sensor’s cavity is filled with high-viscosity silicon oil, which reduces the buildup of sand, silt, and grit on the pressure transducer; it is available in both oil-filled and non-oil-filled versionsmaking this adaptable to different site conditions. The non-oil-filled sensor is ideal for relatively clear sites or where the pipe may dry out, while the oil-filled version is best suited for environments with high levels of biological growth, grit, or silt.
