SmartTrax™ OnBoard is an integrated telemetry solution for the FlowCom digital register, used with McPropeller and Water Specialties flow meters. This compact, battery-powered system provides wireless flow meter data via cellular communication—without the need for a separate telemetry device.
SmartTrax™ OnBoard is built directly into the FlowCom register and features a cellular radio with a carrier-agnostic SIM card that automatically connects to the strongest available signal. Flow data is transmitted securely to a smartphone or desktop application, where users can access and customize dashboards for reporting. Data can be retrieved through McCrometer’s SmartTrax web dashboard or integrated into client systems via an API (Application Programming Interface).
Key Benefits and Features
When paired with McPropeller or Water Specialties Propeller meters, SmartTrax™ OnBoard delivers a fully integrated, all-in-one flow measurement and telemetry system. It enables growers, water districts, and utility managers to remotely monitor water usage and efficiently manage water allocations across their service areas.
In addition to telemetry, the FlowCom register it is attached to supports pulse and 4-20mA outputs for integration with pumps or irrigation controllers. It also includes a built-in data logger capable of storing up to five years of flow history for audit or recordkeeping purposes.
