The unique combination of reliability, ease of installation and total cost savings make this flow meter the perfect choice for municipal water and wastewater effluent applications and flow media.
The Hach ProComm Max serves as the brain of the system, driving precision and control that outclasses the competition. Equipped with advanced microprocessor technology and a multi-point curve-fitting algorithm, the FPI Mag 5000 ensures the highest level of accuracy, rivaling that of full-bore mag meters.
The Hach FPI Mag 5000 is designed for more critical infrastructure where continuous monitoring and integration with SCADA systems are essential. Its dual 4-20mA outputs, RS485 communication port, and intuitive interface make it a fully capable device for demanding municipal applications.
With its durable IP67-rated enclosure and extensive functionality, the Hach ProComm Max on the Hach FPI Mag 5000 offers real-time flow data whether installed directly on the meter or remotely, and simplifies operations while being mindful of data integrity.
The Hach FPI Mag 5000 meets or exceeds exacting industry standards of ±0.5% accuracy with 3rd party testing verification.
The Hach FPI Mag 5000 is available in AC/DC with back-up or battery / solar powered options for forward and bi-directional flow sensors, enabling installation in remote applications without access to reliable power. The Smart Output feature allows the Hach FPI Mag 5000 to connect to AMI / AMR systems through an encoded digital output. Also, the FPI Mag 5000 is prewired for use with our SmartTrax telemetry system to bring your measurements conveniently to your database.
The insertion design allows for easy, hot tap installation, which allows the meter to be installed without interrupting service, de-watering lines, cutting pipe, welding flanges, or inconveniencing customers. The meter may easily be removed, inspected, and returned to service without the need for a time-consuming shut-down for regular maintenance procedures.
The Hach FPI Mag 5000 has no moving parts and a single-piece probe design. The multi-electrode water flow sensor contains nothing to wear or break and is generally immune to clogging by sand, grit or other debris.
The sensor body is made from heavy-duty 316 stainless steel for maximum structural integrity and is hermetically sealed and protected by NSF certified 3M fusion-bonded epoxy coating. Electrodes are constructed from either stainless steel or optional Hastelloy to handle all your water flow needs. Our standard epoxy coating is rated up to 140F while our HT (High Temperature) option increases our capabilities to 200F while still maintaining our NSF certification.
This product is available in configurations that meet Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act requirements for federally funded infrastructure projects. By utilizing U.S.-sourced materials and American-made manufacturing, McCrometer ensures your project stays on schedule with field-proven performance and verified letters of compliance. Choosing BABA-ready instrumentation simplifies the approval process and protects your federal funding from redesigns or change orders.
